Mr. Cherrywinks by jflaxman Mr. Cherrywinks by jflaxman

You’d think six years’ experience would make Photoshop seem easier, but I still find it clumsy and frustrating. After spending two days on a post-apocalyptic scene that looked fine as a concept sketch and horrible as a digital piece, I trashed it and started photoshopping another dark emotive work. It was going the same way so I trashed it as well, bought a cheap and nasty bottle of port and started on this travesty. This time round I had no problems and three hours later it was done.

i'm curious..when you say Photoshop are you saying that all the pictures are your creations from the start ? or do you modify a picture already made by someone else.."i don't want to be insulting..if they are your own creations, i think your work is  extraordinary...

Have you tried digital sculpting? Sculptris is comparably powerful and easy for beginners, works well with Blender, and is for free. Might be your taste.

Have you tried working with corel painter? I find it much more suitable for painting and drawing, it just has much better selection of brushes, it can imitate pastel, watercolor, spraypaint and so on. Not very suited for photo manipulation though.

I've heard good things about corel painter. I don't do much photomanipulation, so it's time I gave it a go!
