I'll usually spend a few hours wandering the streets each night; like the heart of all great cities, Central Melbourne is a riot of grandeur and squalor, vice and virtue, hope and despair. This image emerged unbidden from the black waters of the Yarra River, which exert a strong pull on the melancholic while reflecting the bright lights of casinos that attract blind optimists.
This is the fish i hate most and also symbolic of the thing i hate most about the world: money. I wish we could make like star trek and do away with it. This gets a fav for that. Why should we work our lives away? Anxiety and depression are at their worst when you do just to make ends meet.
I kind of can't put into words why I like this so much, but it really is an amazing piece of art. There's a great message behind it, and it is extremely easy to relate to, in addition to looking amazing. I can't put a finger on what the style reminds me of, but seriously, this is brilliant!
