Four Little Poniesby ~jflaxman

According to one reading of the ancient Mayan calendar, the apocalypse has come and gone, and the only species known to have conceived of atom bombs, napalm, Zyklon B, and talking cartoon horses that inhabit a rainbow wonderland seems to be no worse for it. I came up with this image while looking at a series of sixteenth century apocalyptic etchings at the NGV. My main challenge was finding a My Little Pony skull; in the end I had to look at a Chihuahua skull for inspiration. I’m amazed I managed to finish this without sustaining liver damage.
