All CMIC citizens are trained to fight from childhood, and most can expect to be tested in that least forgiving of arenas, the contemporary battlezone. Here they face such challenges as insurgents who outnumber them, sophisticated combat robots, biological, chemical and nuclear weapons, and the inherent dangers of a post-apocalyptic world. They are usually better equipped than the nomadic Wastelanders, but they owe their greatest victories to the unity and discipline their leaders have instilled in them.

Coalition of Military Industrial Collectives, also known as the Coalition. This faction in the "Scorched Earth" series was founded by the remnants of a pre-apocalyptic military (the other two main factions are the Wasteland Alliance, founded by survivalists, and Veyon Industries, descended from a corporation that initially profited from the last war).

This is a pretty standard bullpup-styled assault rifle with an underslung grenade launcher - for similar real-world examples check out the Tavor TAR-21 or the older but innovative Vektor CR-21. For something really futuristic, see Australia's AICW, a derivative of the Austrian Steyr AUG. I've got a lot of character and robot concepts to complete but might add more small arms at a later stage.
